New Sunroom – Drumcondra

Our client was having this sunroom built and they asked us to make both the windows, door and the roof, and we were delighted to oblige!

The windows were up and down sash windows with outward opening casement windows, and we also made sash doors with an espagnolette lock.

This lovely extension is a room that they will enjoy in all seasons for many years to come!

New Casement Windows – Terenure

Our client wanted to replace their old windows, but wanted new ones that would keep the period character of their home.

We retained the existing frames and created new casement windows using Accoya wood, with Pilkington double-glazed glass, and multi-point locks and brass fittings.

Accoya wood is always an excellent choice for new windows as it is sustainable and has a 50 year guarantee against rot – meaning the windows will still be in good condition for future owners!

New sash windows – Benincasa, Blackrock

This is Benincasa School on Mount Merrion Avenue, Blackrock, where we stripped and restored the sash window frames.

We then made bespoke, new double-glazed sashes which we then installed in the repaired frames.

Once the new sashes were installed, we painted both the frames and windows.

Bay Sash Window – Ranelagh

These beautiful bay sash windows in Ranelagh needed to be both restored and replaced. The frames were still in excellent condition and only needed some repair work, which we completed.

We then installed new, double-glazed sash windows complete with draft-proofing.

Finally attached the new, polished brass fittings, and then finished with hand-painting the sash windows and the frames.

New and Restored Sash and Casement Windows – Rathgar

We were asked by our client to restore and upgrade their sash and casement windows as they wanted to make them more energy efficient and to improve the comfort levels in the house.

The window frames were in good condition so we retained them. We restored the frames by fully stripping them, repairing them and installing draft-proofing.

Their new windows were made using Accoya wood. We used new brass ironmongery for the fittings.

Once the new windows were installed, we hand-painted each one along with the restored frames.

We used BENGglas in both the sash and casement windows. BENGglas is slimmer then normal triple-glazed glass. You cannot see the edge seals, so it looks like single glazing!

New and Repaired Sash Windows – Merrion Square

The owners of this private home in Merrion Square hired us to repair and replace their existing sash windows. Some of the windows were still in good condition, so we were able to repair and restore them. Other windows were too damaged and so we made new, bespoke sash windows that were identical to the windows that had to be replaced to ensure that the period style of the house looked as it did when it was first built.

CBS Westland Row

C.B.S. Westland Row was opened in 1864, and like many buildings of that time, had sash windows. Unfortunately, as can happen with some much older buildings, the windows were past the point of being restored.

We fitted new, bespoke, double-glazed sashes that will keep students warm in the winter months and will be there for many years to come!

Windowframe Restoration with New Sashes – Phibsboro

Our client wanted to improve the insulation of the windows in their house, without having to replace their existing period, sash windows.

We stripped and repaired their sash window frames. Their sashes couldn’t be repaired, so we made new, bespoke sashes with highly-efficient, tempered vacuum glass. Once the frames were repaired and the sashes were installed, we painted them both to our high standard.

Now their home is much warmer and they didn’t have to compromise on the beauty of their sash windows!

Bespoke French Doors – Meath

Our client asked us to install new, fitted, bespoke doors in their house in Meath, which included a new French door and the surrounds.

New Sash Windows – Ranelagh

Our client wanted to replace the less efficient and less attractive aluminium windows that had been installed years before.

We created new, double-glazed, sash windows for this house in Ranelagh.

We made the new sash windows with Accoya wood, double-glazed Pilkington glass, and new, polished brass fittings.
