New and Restored Sash and Casement Windows – Rathgar

We were asked by our client to restore and upgrade their sash and casement windows as they wanted to make them more energy efficient and to improve the comfort levels in the house.

The window frames were in good condition so we retained them. We restored the frames by fully stripping them, repairing them and installing draft-proofing.

Their new windows were made using Accoya wood. We used new brass ironmongery for the fittings.

Once the new windows were installed, we hand-painted each one along with the restored frames.

We used BENGglas in both the sash and casement windows. BENGglas is slimmer then normal triple-glazed glass. You cannot see the edge seals, so it looks like single glazing!
