Sash Window Restoration, Glazing and Bespoke Windows

Front of the newly restored Dun Laoghaire Baths on a sunny day. A one-story period building painted white. Two sets of two sash windows on either side and a period Georgian door in the centre with a fan light above it. All made by Bolger Sash Windows. Two low granite steps from the footpath up to the door. Low granite wall with white railings on either side of the steps that have a granite pillar at the end of both.

Sash Window Restoration

If your sash windows need to be refurbished or restored then you’ve come to the right place. At Bolger Sash Windows, we can refurbish and restore the sash windows in your home to like new. After all, we may even have installed them when your period property was first built as we have been in business since the 1890’s!

Sash Window Glazing

Alternatively, your period sash windows may be in good condition, but you are looking for glazing that will improve the insulation in your home and reduce your heating costs.

We offer a wide range of double and triple glazing. From BENGglas, the most efficient vacuum tempered glass in the world, which outperforms most triple glazing, to Pilkington Optitherm double-glazing which will reduce the heat loss through the glass by approximately 65% when compared with single glazing. And if you choose BENGglas tempered vacuum glazing your windows will outperform triple-glazed windows in terms of energy efficiency, comfort and soundproofing.

New, Bespoke, Sash Windows

Our new sash windows are beautifully handmade to correct period detailing. We exactly replicate existing dimensions and mouldings so that your new windows look like they are original to the property, rather than looking like modern copies.

We use Accoya® wood which is guaranteed against rot for 50 years. Our windows are finished on the outside with hand-applied putty and are hand-painted, for a truly authentic look.

Of course our windows are fully draughtproof and open and close easily.
